Is it to good to be true.....stay tuned to find out!

Acai berry Pictures, Images and Photos

So what is this new rage about the Acai Berry? I'm sorry, but if something is that easy and that good for you wouldn't we have know about it by now? Now all of a sudden since it was on Oprah everyone thinks it is the miricle that will make you skinny and give you lots of energy. I have to say I am a bit skeptical......my mother always said "if it is too good to be true, it most likely is not true"

But you know I am going to try it, because who doesn't want to be skinny and most important have more energy! I do have to say though, I got the best night of rest I have had in about 2 weeks! I don't know if it was the chiroprator yesterday or just pure exhaustion set in, but I went to sleep at 8:30 last night and it was wonderful!

Too Much Stuff!

Ok....so this thing called work is getting in my way of being a fantastic and loyale blogger. Here is a pic from my latest install.....

Photobucket

Wheew! What a weekend! Let's see got up Sat morning and headed to my very first parent/teacher conference. I was soo excited to find out how my little guy was doing at his brand new school. I was let down easy when I was told he was behind the other kids because he cannot write out the entire alphabet at age 4. Excuse me.....isn't that what they teach in kingergarten.... not at age 3. Well not any more folks seems like if you do not put your little one in an advanced preschool program they will be far behind the other kids by age 5 that is for sure! So we have a little catch up to do, so last night there I sit at the kitchen table doing "homework" with my 4 year old! Don't kids already grow up too fast....why are we pushing them to grow up even faster! On the other hand when he looks at me with those little eyes and says "I want to know how to write my name like the other kids" I just melt! So homework it is....for the next couple months I know he is smart enough to learn it, I just have never exposed him to it yet...

Next we were off to my son's best friend's birthday party at Build A Bear.......then we went to show our family support at the Chili Cook off....If that wasn't enough for one day we went to the pumpkin patch to let the kiddo's run, play and pick out the perfect pumkin. After that we dropped my son off at his mamaw's then went over to the kinfolks' to eat, drink, and sit by the fire to celebrate the fall weather.

Sunday was time to do some scrapbooking! Although we were so worn out from the day before we didn't manage to get much done. Hopefully the next one will go better.....After that it was another bday party at a friends house, we had to cut that one short because I still had to get ready to go out of town for work again on Monday.

Whew! I told ya it was a busy, busy weekend!

CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!

Bubble bath Pictures, Images and Photos

So I am installation HELL right now! Just got home from an install didn't get to finish due to warehouse issues. So I am headed back on Monday, then to another one the next week! Plus I am coming down with a sinus infection and if my head could explode it would right now! Please just let me make it until the end of this year! 2010 HERE I COME!!!!

On a good note the project I just installed looks great! And as long as I survive all of this install nonsense, I get to go the races Nov. 1st! I may party until I go into cardiac arrest since I will be letting off sooo much stress and steam!

I also have a VERY busy weekend planned ahead my very first teacher conferenece, 2 birthday parties, and a scrapbook day with my girl! Not to metion a lot of house work, since I have been totally slacking the last couple weeks!

Boy.....does it sound like I am rambling right now! :) I forsee a spa day in my future!

Today has been a beautiful day.....not just the weather, but I got some retail therapy at lunch! Awweee! I feel much better now! DSW clearance sale started today and a free suede hobo bag to the first customers to spend $49.95. So I not only got 3new pairs of shoes for fall, but a great bag also! I love a great deal, it gives me such a feeling of accomplishment, and hey I am just doing my part to help keep the economy rolling....right! :)

Cattle Baron's Ball

Well Saturday night ended up being a blast! We arrived about 7:00 to Southfork Ranch (where Dallas was filmed in the 80's). It was self serve food and adult bevrages all night long! First Pat Green opened the show, I was front row center since it was first come...first serve! I got a ton of great pics, he is just such a down to earth goof ball and I love that! He threw his guitar pic out to the crowd and a lady standing behind me found it on the ground and handed it to me because I obviously looked like a bigger fan. BONUS! How nice was that, so I put it in my pocket and didn't look at it until he was finished, but when I did, to my surprise......it was autographed! WHA HOO! Then it gets better......when Pat was leaving the stage he motioned and mouthed the words "I like your necklace" I had on my Crystal Texas Star of course!

Next was the live aution.......boy could these rich folks spend some cash quick! Terry warned me not to even scrach my nose so I wouldn't mistaken for bidding. It was for a great cause....they ended up raising 4 million dollars in one night for cancer research. So after the buisiness part of the night was over, it was more show.

Sugarland up next on the main stage, they were good. But I guess I just prefer the guy on the stage with out all of the hoop-la. Someone you can see yourself hanging out at the bar with. Maybe I am just old fashion at heart.

It has been a long time since my hubby and I have been out like that by ourselves, and it was really good for us too. We seemed to find what our crazy life has us overlook sometimes. That we really do still love each other.

Random Friday...................

All I have delt with today to technical crap! Why can't I just say what I want and the engineer make it happen. Isn't that their job? I don't know how to wire an entire building, hello I am no MEP!! That is one reason I am not an architect, I hate math and technical info. When I was in design school I was told there would be no math! lol just kidding but thanks for the vent I needed it on a day where I got no creativity at all! On a side note I did get some retail therapy at lunch so that evened things out.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am so proud of my little boy this week! He has been such a trooper with this transition to a new big boy school. It also makes me kinda sad to know that he is growing up so fast and can accomplish so much on his own. When I walked him in to school today he didn't even look back or say good bye. He is truely a big boy now! Although I am glad that he likes his school so well, a little of me wants him to still be my little boy :(

Thank God for Chiropractors!

How is it that something that seams so simple make you feel so much better? I feel like someone just sprayed WD-40 on my neck & shoulders! I most likely wouldn't need it if I had a little less stressful job! I feel good, Da-Na-Na-Nah!

So my boss has invited the hubs and I to the Cattle Baron's Ball this Saturday night. The smallest table goes for about eight grand! So I kinda feel like we need to go although spending the evening smoozing with the boss is a beating! Good news is there will be plenty of free alcohol and Sugarland is playing at the event and I have been wanting to see them in concert. Pat Green is doing the aution and he is always a hoot, so all in all if we can stear clear of the office talk things should be good. It is at least all for a good cause, 100% of proceeds go to cancer research.
