I Know I Suck

Since it has almost been a month since my last post! Things have needless to say been a little hairy at the office lately. The economy is taking it's toll on my office now. We have already laid off 25% of our workforce, and 25% is also on maternity leave. That leaves 2 of us, the boss was planning on laying off the other girl on maternity leave, but after I offered to take a 20% pay reduction plus a reduction in hours she will get to stay on 2 days a week for now.......
I have to admit I am a little excited about my new hours, because the last few months since I have started taking my son to his new school the schedule has been extremly hard on the both of us!

I am also starting up a very small side business hopefully right after the 1st of the year to help suppliment some of the income. We will see how it goes, I know it is a bad time to do anything like this, but I am hoping it will be enough to eventually quit my job.

I have to say, I am not in the Christmas spirit at all, and I feel a little guilty. I am very blessed to have all that I do, but feel as if life has been flying by so fast lately I have yet to enjoy it. So there it is folks the New Years Resolution! To slow down the lifestyle, so I can enjoy what I work so hard to have! I think the job reduction is the first step. We may not have as much money to spend, but it will force us to slow down an enjoy what we do have!
