Well Saturday night ended up being a blast! We arrived about 7:00 to Southfork Ranch (where Dallas was filmed in the 80's). It was self serve food and adult bevrages all night long! First Pat Green opened the show, I was front row center since it was first come...first serve! I got a ton of great pics, he is just such a down to earth goof ball and I love that! He threw his guitar pic out to the crowd and a lady standing behind me found it on the ground and handed it to me because I obviously looked like a bigger fan. BONUS! How nice was that, so I put it in my pocket and didn't look at it until he was finished, but when I did, to my surprise......it was autographed! WHA HOO! Then it gets better......when Pat was leaving the stage he motioned and mouthed the words "I like your necklace" I had on my Crystal Texas Star of course!
Next was the live aution.......boy could these rich folks spend some cash quick! Terry warned me not to even scrach my nose so I wouldn't mistaken for bidding. It was for a great cause....they ended up raising 4 million dollars in one night for cancer research. So after the buisiness part of the night was over, it was more show.
Sugarland up next on the main stage, they were good. But I guess I just prefer the guy on the stage with out all of the hoop-la. Someone you can see yourself hanging out at the bar with. Maybe I am just old fashion at heart.
It has been a long time since my hubby and I have been out like that by ourselves, and it was really good for us too. We seemed to find what our crazy life has us overlook sometimes. That we really do still love each other.

I'm glad ya'll had a good time together. We tend to get caught up with the business of daily living to forget what brought us all together... :o)
